Day 20

Okay is it just me or does anyone else have to suffer their children's birthday blues. I swear this happens every year around the kid's birthdays when they turn into little monsters.... Owen is a horror right now. Argues with you at every turn. Yells at everyone and speaks to them in such a mean tone of voice... and his birthday is still 3 weeks away.

Today was exceptionally warm. Darren took the kids to the park with friends to ride their bikes while I took a trip out to a Scrapbook store with Liz to pick out paper for some teacher appreciation gifts we're making for the Kindergarten teachers. (picture coming) they are very cute, and fun to make.

The Feldmans came over for dinner this evening and Darren made steak and risotto for dinner, very yummy, of course I didn't really eat that much because I got to hold baby Sophia during dinner so that Brad & Chrissy could eat in peace. Sophia didn't really want to sit down on her own or with me, she liked it better when I was standing and rocking her back and forth as the evening breeze (what little there was of it) wafted over her little bald head. She quite the talker too.. gurgling and commenting in her baby way, meanwhile miss Ava is quite the spitfire and gets somewhat mad when she doesn't get things her way. Her speech is improving but still a little hard to understand but boy she certainly can let her feelings be known. Olivia is just Olivia doing her own thing, playing with Morgan & Owen. We did get a surprise visitor in the form of Ann, who is home from college on Spring Break. Morgan just wouldn't leave her own, declaring to all around that this was "My Ann" and not letting go of her the whole time she was here which was close to 2 hours. Of course, Morgan had to compete with Olivia, Owen and Ava for Ann's attention, but they were so pleased as punch that she dropped by. If you can believe it Ann is now 21 years old. I remember her as a shy 15 year old helping me out with Owen when I was pregnant with Morgan. It's incredible how quickly that time seems to have evaporated, like the grains of sand slipping through your fingers. A blink in time if you will..Ahh enough of me being poetic... later.
